Legendary

     My last poster in the Politico series is a bit hackneyed, I admit, but I had to get it out of my head (and up around town). Sometimes your brain won't leave you alone, until you do what it says in some awful Pilkingtonian way.

     For the past several years, I've heard tales about this man that did so many things right for the Right and for America. Who inspired so many politicians of today. This man that championed cutting taxes. That cared about fiscal responsibility and traditional values. That shrank the government and cut spending. This man that was our President. This Ronald Reagan.

     This gigantic lie.

     Beside the fact that he didn't really do any of those things, I'm not going to make this a tirade explaining all the ways in which the legacy and idea of Reagan is so far beyond romanticism. There are countless websites and books that you should check out for yourself. Google. Bing. Library. Whatever. Do what you gotta do. Just educate yourself about this man, especially if you weren't alive or old enough to remember him.

     I'll just say that the only other President who rivals Reagan mythology is none other than the big O, himself.  And there's a reason for that. Because in today's world, it's easier to label a dead celebrity as a conservative hero, and a black man from Chicago as an Islamic socialist, rather than face the truth - Obama is more Reagan than Reagan ever was.
