     You guys ever tried Foie Gras? It's alright, but don't eat it like I did. I could see the appeal if it was lightly placed in a dish as an extra ingredient, but as the star? It's fucking disgusting. It tastes like gamey blood, through and through. Which is fine for the first couple bites, but then every one after that is like trying to force down those awful mashed potatoes from a box your mother tried to feed you when you were young.

Camille Corot - La Dame en Bleu - 1874

     I can see how my tastes have developed as one of the first things I drew was this simple painting of a woman dressed in blue. The design of the dress and folds depicted in the painting, mixed with her expression and composition totally pulled me in. Whereas 6 years ago, I would have been more intrigued by something flashier and punchier. I still like that shit, but this sort of elegance is what makes me tick now.

I have no idea how I made this picture happen, but it's rad.
